I’m a straight male and I must say I tend to prefer darker reds, burgundy or black nails on women, which I may associate at first with a more sophisticate style and personality, if it’s used as a way of expressing it. I like red nails in vintage styles more.
But then I like black nails on me and go for more alternative and glam styles myself cause I think male fashion is often made to be too plain.
